Nos vins

The reds :
Representing 80% of the vineyard, the first plots were planted in 1957. The average age of the vines is 30 years. There are 6000 vines per hectare comprising the following grape varieties:

SYRAH: 55% - situated at the bottom and start of the slopes, on moderately deep soil and facing South/South-East.
MOURVEDRE: 25% - on a medium sloping position in clay-limestone soil, facing south.
GRENACHE: 20% - in a sloping, high position on hard limestone, facing South-East.

The whites:
Representing 20% of the vineyard, the first plots were planted in 1985. The average age of the vines is 17 years. Amongst the 6000 vines per hectare:
20% are Marsanne, 30% Rolle, 30% White Grenache and 20% Roussanne.

All are situated at the lowest part of the slope, on the exposed South/South-East in deep soil, except for a plot of Marsanne and one of Rolle which are on limestone.

Production - yield
Reds and Rosés ‘AOC Pic Saint-Loup': 100 000 bottles of 0.75 litres - 30 hl per hectare.

Découverte blanc

étiquette découverte blancThis cuvee is an enticing wine! Its yellow colour with greenish tints announces an elegant style. The nose is full of white flowers and vine peaches. On the palate, the attack is characterised by citrus fruit and lychees, ending with passion fruit and apricot. Dynamic and fresh finale. Light, well balanced and easy-drinking white wine. Ideal with Parillada of Mediterranean fishes or scallops, warm oysters or leeks fondue.

Découverte rosé

Découverte roséWith its fine crimson and luminous colour, this is a subtle wine with aromas of fresh red fruits, whortleberry and sweet spices. Light and balanced wine with a very pleasant lively and fresh finish. Served with grilled ostrich, veal steak, bouillabaisse, crepe stuffed with boletus and delicatessen.

étiquette découverte rougeDeep garnet robe, generous bouquet with aromas of red berries and ripe fruits. Large and rounded on the palate, very fruity, with a lingering and unctuous finish. Very good will grilled meats, roasted pigeon with figs or boneless rib steak "sauce normande"

Clos des Bénédictins

étiquette Clos des BénédictinsA paradoxical beautifully gold coloured wine with green hints; aroma of dry flowers and citrus marmalade. On the palate, lemon, fresh ripe grapes and dry apricots, followed by passion fruit with a long ending. To serve with thyme flavoured roasted langoustine or scampi, white buttered pike-perch, "poulet de Bresse aux girolles" and with all blue cheese.

Fontanarosa

Ideal with Pyrenean veal in creamy sauce, "crêpes Parmentier", rosemary's lamb, Tian of vegetables or Lyon's dumplings in Nantua sauce.

Prestige, en gardeThis is an unusual Pic Saint Loup wine and it should be reserved for connoisseurs! Dark garnet robe with nice violine effects; peppery, spicy nose with kirsch, plum and jam notes; fines and structured tannins, aromatic fullness for a great discovery... To served with Provencal seasoning grilled lamb, duck with cherries, games "sauce Grand Veneur", mushrooms' Risotto or eggplants "au gratin" with Parmesan.
